How The Project Came To Life
How The Project Came To Life
This Project Was Created in Honor Of Tameron Barish
Tameron Dane Barish was the most caring, outgoing, thoughtful, creative, friendly, courageous, unapologetically himself, free-spirited soul to have graced this planet. Those lucky enough to have known him know that Tameron’s biggest passion was skateboarding.
Any trip he took revolved around skateboarding. He loved finding the best spots to do new tricks, film videos, and make montages with his favorite songs. Tameron made so many friends throughout the skateboarding community - a community that will miss him deeply.
Tameron left us on June 23rd 2021, just three weeks shy of his 21st birthday.
In lieu of a funeral, we started a campaign to raise funds towards putting new equipment into Tameron’s favorite skatepark, Truxtun Skatepark in Annapolis, Maryland.
Tameron was the first to ride any new equipment there and we know he would love the idea. 100% of the funds raised will be used to improve the park. The park needs a complete renovation from its current state.
Tameron brought so much love, light and excitement to everyone who knew him. We want to give back and help raise up the community that provided so much joy and purpose to his life. With this park, Tameron will be skating forever.
The fundraiser was a huge success with raising over $75,000 in private donations via GoFundMe.
Shortly after, The Barish Family had a meeting with the City of Annapolis to see if it was possible to do the renovations and it was! Tameron's sister Teegan created a soft proposal to hand into the city.
From there, the project was underway. We are so grateful for the opportunity to continue Tameron's legacy and create something incredible for the Annapolis community.
